Plum Parenting Fee Schedule from February 1st 2026

All new families are required to undertake Mary’s full foundational series of 7-8 sessions which not only address the current issues but is also provides a full parenting course that sets the family up for the years ahead.

There will be a fee increase of 5.00 per hour from February 1 2026 for all those not already booked.

Mentoring fee from Feb 1 2026 will be:  

155.00 NZD per hour + GST @ 15% = 178.25 per hour

Sessions are on average 2.25 hours long, ranging usually from 2.0-2.5 hours.

Based on an average total of 7-8 sessions for each family’s full foundational series, the total cost of the foundational series in 2026 will be $2800-3200.

Once the foundational series is completed, the family is then ‘on the books’ like a medical practice, and parents can at any time request a single session or more, via email. (no need to re-register or go through the website)

• Session fees cover the time spent in the sessions, preparation before and between sessions, communications and administration time

• You will be charged only for the time used in the sessions.

• A mileage fee for home visits will be added to your invoice at $0.73 per kilometre within the Wellington CBD. Flat fees of $30.00 are applied to travel as far as Lower Hutt and Johnsonville, $35.00 up to Raumati, and $40.00 up to Waikanae. Beyond these zones sessions will need to be online.

• Payments are normally made by direct deposit. Payment options and details are on the client invoice.

• Overseas clients pay via PayPal.

• Cancellation policy: If possible, please give least 48 hours prior to the session if you need to cancel. A cancellation fee of $100 may be applied to cancellations on the day, and to un-notified non-attendance.
